If We Give Up They Win!
I know Itch handled this situation in the worst way possible. I know Itch is bending a knee to horrible people. If you want to leave I completely understand why. If you want to protest Itch is a great place to do it. Itch WILL NOT push back unless we make a big stink. If we leave Itch loses the only reason it has to push back. do not support Itch. Do not buy games off Itch. Don't leave either. Make protest art. Force everyone to know Itch is in the wrong. I know the payment processors are turning the screws on Itch. Protest against them too. Force Itch to fight back.
Don't forget the Trans Rep game jam needs our attention too. A lot of things need our attention right now.
Keep your spirits high. We will win! Eventually.

while a good sentiment, breaking rules will lead to possibly more lost art, and if you've already been de-indexed you're likely to be in a similar boat as me where all your new content will be shadow banned.
Though perhaps I could do a soft update for my most popular story, I had originally removed the ending cus it just didn't flow right...
I am not saying to break the rules- unless you want to break the rules. If you self censor out of fear you are doing the same thing Itch did, just on a smaller less harmful scale. We have to stand up because standing up is the right thing to do. I refuse to be compliset in the purge of art and artists. I hope there are consequences for my actions, and if I don't like them I would rather be banned fighting for what is right than stand by and watch as paintings are pulled from museums and burned in the streets. This is only the first step. This only goes as far as we let it go.
